The mini series of works 'Monks and Writers' investigates aspects of ancient Irish culture that were prelevant in the lives of Irish people within my generation. The series explores what ancient Irish culture looks like today despite the historical attempts to erase it. Each work is a satire on the reclaiming and uplifitng of a culture that refuses to disappear. The series challenges the viewer to consider the question: 'what does your culture look like today?'
