Welcome
As an artist–teacher–researcher, I see my roles not as separate, but as deeply interconnected. My work in the studio informs my teaching, my teaching sparks new questions, and my research shapes both how I create and how I engage with others. Teaching Art through inquiry, curiosity and balance allows for a dynamic and contantly evolving classroom and practice.

About me
My name is Ashleigh Boyd and I am an Art Teacher based in Limerick, Ireland. As well as an Art Teacher, I am both an Artist and a researcher. I believe that to create Art, to teach Art and to regularly involve mylsef in researching has led to me having an enriched view at what it means to be a Teacher.
My qualifications include an undergraduate degree in Fine Art specialising in the area of painting, as well as a Professional Masters of Education - Art and Design with digital media. Throughout my education, I have honed my artistic ability as well as exploring and improving on my teaching and researching abilities.
Outside of Secondary School Education, I further my teaching experiences by hosting live painting classes for adults in Limerick, Clare and Cork. Both Art and Teaching are key aspects of my everyday life.
